I went to see him when he was only 6 weeks and naturally he immediately took my heart. But unfortunately my heart spoke, instead of my brain. I should have listened to the warning bells that I heard – but I didn’t.

When he arrived to Sweden at 10 weeks, he had severe eye problems. During a year I had him constantly at the veterinary hospital to stitch his eyes-lids. I also treated him with eye drops several times every day. Finally I had him operated on for entropion. His eyes were healed, and the scars unvisible, but what I didn’t want to see was his fast growing aggressiveness towards other dogs, both males and females and even my 11 years old Zmilla, and towards me. I closed my eyes, and blamed it on the constant eye treatments. But when I had been attacked by him several times, I consulted behaviourists, veterinaries and breed specialist in mentality. They all firmly said to me, that this dog is truly aggressive and dangerous and they strongly advised me to put him down.

It broke my heart, but it was the right thing to do, and Guld was put to sleep in June, 2018.
