SE VCh Zaxxon’s Coolqueen Curry, Born 22nd April, 2007 – 7th of May, 2018
Bred by Lotta Malmborg, Zaxxon’s kennel
People are saying that liver nosed ridgebacks are special. I can verify that! They are!
In 2006, after one year of mourning period after Gotchi, I started to look for another puppy, and naturally from the same lines as Gotchi, and I found kennel Zaxxon’s, which I will always be grateful for.
My daughter and I visited the puppies several time, and my heart was stolen by a black nosed bitch, but every time a liver nosed girl with a golden necklace laid herself in my knee. She was determined that we were an item, tem, which I didn’t understood at that time, but I am so grateful that she was so clear. And clarity became her hallmark! In week 7 we realized that the Golden Girl should be the one moving in with us, which my daughter Agnes realized long before me.
Most loved ”Zmilla” Zaxxon’s Coolqueen Curry by Ch Emoyeni’s Grand Zuberi ”Lex” and out of Ch Zaxxon’s Queen Akilah moved in to us in June 2007, it was a memory we will never forget! The whole family celebrated Zmilla’s arrival with champagne and goodies, and our life changed completely! She flipped glass and climbed up on the table, it was chaos! It was a challenge to have Zmilla as a puppy, she was absolutely wild, chasing cats and children! A wilder puppy you have to look for!
Then suddenly something changed and she became the best dog you can imagine. Her body language was so clear and she created harmony in our life and with other dogs and packs. She was almost never on the lead and ignored dogs and people. She helped me raise Ciara, making the puppy time so easy. She was priceless when Nox moved in with us, and those two created a special bond, both being strong and safe who wanted peace and quiet and how to behave. Their co-operation was amazing to see, and it continued when Guld and Goliat moved in. To have that help with the pack is truly invaluable. I could write a book about the life with Zmilla, 11 fantastic years and no one has meant so much for me and my family och we all still miss her immensely.
Zmilla had several illnesses and to discover a Porta cava Shunt at the age of 6, is very rare, and the veterinary told us that she wouldn’t live long. But we went through it with special food and supplements until the age of 11.
During a long time after we lost her Ciara and Nox were not themselves, especially Ciara who always being depended on Zmilla.
Zmilla was one of a kind, she was my queen, the pack leader, my soulmate, closest friend and she has taught me so much, I miss her every single day!
The empty room she left will never be filled again. Zmilla can never be replaced.
Zmilla gave me one of my closest friends – her breeder Lotta Malmborg, and I will always be so grateful to her for giving me the best companion in my life.
